Quantify Your Experience
Its important in todays resume to be specific
with numbers. Since the recruiters only have seconds to consider the resume, they
do not have time to imagine how many people you supervised or dollars you managed.
YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM. Do not write a generic resume without specifics about your
jobthe reader will lose interest because the whole story is not there.
Here are some specific areas where you can quantify your
responsibilities:
- Employees supervised
- Budget, grant, contract or project dollars
- Square footage managed
- Number of offices managed
- Geographic region responsibility (Mid-Atlantic area, etc.)
- Increased sales (percentage of actual dollars)
- Dollars saved by new procedures
- Dollars increased
