90 Minute Consultation: Service Description

Announcement Search / Review and Federal Resume Review

  • Examination of your federal job announcement with instruction on how to identify keywords that should be incorporated into your resume. Review of Duties, Qualifications, KSAs and Questionnaires together & an orientation on vacancy announcements.
  • If you can’t find the right announcement, we will search for you / with you.
  • An analysis of your existing resume and other application materials with instruction on what they will need to be competitive for the job of your choice.
  • Recommendations to ways to match the resume toward the announcement.


This service also includes: STRATEGY LESSONS for Federal Job Search

  • Additional discussion regarding qualifications for the target occupational series.
  • A strategy for an effective federal job search, considering what types of positions and agencies will be the best fit for your education, skills and experience.
  • Recommendations for types of positions and grade level that you are qualified for, based on specific job announcements and Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards.
  • Insight about how federal human resources specialists will evaluate your resume and other application materials, including Keyword analysis, rating & ranking processes.
  • A short tutorial on the Office of Personnel Management and USAJOBS web-site to understand the process and to utilize the tools available.
  • Federal Career Consultation Report: The remainder time for this service will be spent by the certified federal resume writer on reviewing your documents and preparing and sending you a report summarizing the recommendations discussed.
