Federal Career Consultation

consultation If you are a career changer, coming from private industry or military service, then the Federal Career Consultation is HIGHLY recommended. Talk to a federal career consultant / expert about your federal job search objectives, past federal job search experiences and your federal application.

Get expert help before you waste many great opportunities (and precious time) with a federal resume and application that is NOT on target. Your goal is to get Referred, Selected for an Interview and Hired. It takes research, analysis and writing to achieve this with your federal application.

Read our popular new blog, Applying for Federal Jobs Fast, about a federal job search with multiple jobs that are of interest. The resumes are changed slightly for each position.

The federal application / federal resume MUST be targeted toward specific positions. The resume should demonstrate your qualifications (work experience, education, training, years of experience) that matches the position. We are experts in identifying announcements to match your background. You can look at OPM’s Classification Standards for federal jobs on our Resources page. We are trained to analyze the classification standards based on your past experience. This is highly-effective for career changers.

Our Federal Career Consultants will discuss your job search strategy. We will point you in the right direction for federal jobs, salaries, grade levels and announcement selection. Don’t have a federal job search strategy? We are here to help you develop one.

Successful federal job search is more than writing a resume .. we will discuss the qualifications, strategy and writing the best application.

We offer both a one hour and a 90 minute consultation service with a report for each with recommendations and result.
Please see below for the differences between the two. If you are a career-changer, the 90 minute consultation will be required. Not sure what to do? Also consider our FREE One Hour Webinars lead by Federal Career Consultants.
