Federal Resume Writing Services

Federal Resume Guidebook
We wrote the first book on federal resume writing in 1996. The book is now in it’s 4th edition and was one of the Top 20 Books Borrowed from Public Libraries in 2009 (American Library Association). Our federal resumes are highly successful with federal human resources specialists and supervisors!

Our latest format for a federal resume is the Outline Format. This format is successful for USAJOBS, CPOL, AVUE, DONHR and other resume builders. The Outline Format is easy to read and will help you get referred, interviewed and hired. We are experts in finding the keywords and specialized experience in announcements — and adding this information to your federal resume. YOU CAN TRUST US WITH YOUR FEDERAL RESUME WRITING PROJECT. Read some tips on the differences between a private industry and federal resume.

INTRODUCING … THE FEDERAL RESUME “OUTLINE FORMAT” Excellent format for USAJOBS, CPOL, AVUE and all resume builders.

The OUTLINE FORMAT features blocks of information in skills that are targeted toward the job announcement. – it is VERY different than a private industry resume. Most federal resumes are 3 to 5 pages long. We expand your private industry resume into the Outline Format using keywords, specialized experience from the announcement and the Classification / Qualification Standards from the OPM website.

This format copies very well into USAJOBS and other online builders. Your resume should look like THAT SAMPLE for a successful federal job campaign. Samples in the Ten Steps to a Federal Job book are mostly all in this format.

Our professional writers will write your resume in the OUTLINE FORMAT, so that you can easily copy and paste into the online builders.

Certified Federal Job Search Trainers teach the Outline Format resume style in government agencies throughout the U.S. The supervisors and HR specialists attending the agency classes appreciate the format and wish that all federal resumes were as easy to read.
