STUDENTS WANT FEDERAL JOBS …
BUT THEY DON’T HAVE THE PATIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE

Emily Troutman, Judlynn Lilly , Kathryn Troutman and Mike Causey

On www.federalnewsradio.com, Your Turn with Mike Causey,
Listen to the audio archive here. (posted 5/31/06)

Last week, Emily and Kathryn talked with Mike and Judlynn about the challenge of recruiting students into government positions and internships. Emily talked about some of the reasons why students don’t appreciate federal careers and the challenges of the application process.

Mike remembers when his own son asked him how to apply for a federal job, Mike said, “I have no idea.”  We discussed a better answer for today’s federal application process.

Kathryn and Emily’s book, Student Federal Career Guide & CD-ROM,
