As Director of our writing, editing, and coaching services, Kathryn Troutman recruits, develops, and trains outstanding individuals for The Resume Place team. Whether you're seeking writing help or job-search coaching, your project will be monitored through Kathryn to maximize your success.

Writers and editors for particular resumes and other application pieces are determined by Kathryn and our Client Coordinator, Kelly Roscoe. The choice is based on your areas of job experience, the project's timing, and the expertise of the writers and editors. Kathryn is the author of the classic resume-writing guide, The Federal Resume Guidebook, as well as other popular Federal career titles. She shares her expertise and insight with our firm's writers and clients on a daily basis. Kathryn Troutman is now available as an individual Federal Career Consultant and Executive Career Coach on an appointment basis.

Leigh Moore, Atlanta, GA

Leigh Moore was in the first graduating class of Kathryn Troutman's Federal Job Search Training Certification program and she writes/edits application packages for The Resume Place. Leigh has a Masters in Counseling and a Professional in Human Resources certification. She has over 15 years of human resources, career development and training experience.

Leigh has a Charter Certification in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which she uses in coaching career exploration clients and for teambuilding exercises. In addition, Leigh has extensive experience in providing outplacement services for downsized employees of major corporations. She co-designed a career exploration program for displaced employees in a major telecommunications company that is still being used today.

Leigh was selected to teach the Ten Steps to a Federal job curriculum to staff members at the Georgia Department of Labor, where she assisted Veterans' Representatives in learning how to help their clients get federal jobs.

Harry Salinas, Fairfax, VA

Retired Federal Government -Human Resources, EEO/Civil Rights, and Special Emphasis Program Manager
Harry Salinas joined The Resume Place in mid-March as consultant. He retired from Federal government after 35-years of public service as human resources manager and EEO/Civil Rights Practitioner. He brings years of experience in staffing, targeted recruiting, career counseling, student employment and internship programs, training and career development, and community outreach activities required in federal government.

His Federal career was spent in Department of Defense (Department of Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, and Defense Contract Agency); Department of Transportation; National Imagery and Mapping Agency; and Department of Agriculture, where he implemented, managed, and evaluated programs in Human Resources, EEO/Civil Rights, and Special Emphasis Programs.

Harry's first project with The Resume Place was to develop a strategic plan to provide training and services, introduce the student book, high school book, and certification training to career professionals within Hispanic organizations and underserved communities. He will be taking the ten step certification program soon and will become a certified Federal Job Search Trainer.

He holds a Ph.D. Degree in Human Resources Management and a M.A. Degree in Management Supervision from La Salle University and Central Michigan University. He is a Vietnam Era Veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve and U.S. Army Reserve as Commissioned Officer from 1970 to 1987.
