(BALTIMORE, MD - March 1, 2004) - With the unemployment rate holding at over 5% jobseekers need to know that the Federal government is hiring! Choice jobs with career potential are listed online everyday and applications are being submitted. Jobs are available for first-time applicants, as well as current federal employees and returning/retiring military personnel.

The current Federal listings on the official Office of Personnel Management website - www.usajobs.opm.gov - lists 17,800 jobs open. This number will be greatly increased after President Bush's budget is passed sometime in the coming months. Federal agencies will be posting many new jobs based on new initiatives and revamped budgets.
