Getting started with writing your Federal and/or Resumix®
Resume
Follow these steps to write a successful Federal or Resumix®
Resume:
- Analyze a vacancy announcement for your selected direction
to ensure that you meet minimum qualifications for the position. The announcement
has a paragraph called "qualifications."
- Gather your materials SF-171, OF-612, Federal Resume,
KSAs or other application material to have as much information available as possible.
- Order the Federal Resume Builder with or without Editing
and Formatting services.
- You will receive a website address to the Builder by email.
- The Federal Resume Builder is three forms: 1) Personal
Information, Job Information, Education and Training; 2) Work Experience (return
to this page to complete as many job descriptions as needed); 3) Other Qualifications
and Focusing Sections.
- Get online with Netscape or Internet Explorer and begin
to input data into the Builder. At any point you can SAVE your input and return later.
- When you are finished, click SAVE and then VIEW. Copy your
formatted resume into Microsoft Word or another word processor.
- If you wish to have Resume Place review your resume,
please contact our office. If you choose our editing service,
we will format, edit and review what you have written but we will NOT
create new material for you. We will send the edited and formatted Federal or
Resume® Resume back to you.
- Your announcement? If you would like to save the announcement
as an .html file, you can send this file in a separate email so that the editor
can see the announcement. There is no extra charge for reviewing the announcement
against your Federal or Resumix® Resume.
- Cost? $300.00 for editing and formatting either a Resumix®
or Federal Resume.
- Need help with KSAs? Click here to go to our KSA Builder
Site. KSA Builder and editing fees are $65.00 per KSA. We can make sure your content
covers the KSA.
