As a staff writer for The Resume Place, Dave works on cover letters, Federal Resumes, Resumix ©, KSA¹s, and Senior Executive Service ECQ¹s. He is a is a contributing author to the upcoming edition of The Federal Resume Guidebook, having written a chapter on converting a Curriculum vitae (CV) into a Federal Resume. He advises graduate students on their CV¹s and is writing a book on how to write CV¹s. He also writes columns for The Resume Place website, and freelances elsewhere on the web.
Dave received his Ph. D in Zoology and Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior from Michigan State University. An aquatic community and ecosystem ecologist by trade, his scientific work has appeared in Limnology & Oceanography and other journals. This experience provides an insider¹s perspective on science-based federal applications.
