Pamela Sikora

Certified Federal Job Search Trainer & Counselor
Certified Professional Resume Writer & Coach
Client Assignments Coordinator
Program Manager, Sailors’ Federal Writing Services,

Pam is a writer and editor with more than 10 years of professional experience and proficiency in technical and non-technical fields, including government, finance, education, and online information systems. In addition to federal resumes, she has written corporate capabilities statements, web content, marketing materials, instruction manuals, reports, and proposals. She has copyedited Kathryn Troutman’s books, The New SES Application and Ten Steps to a Federal Job, 3rd edition, and her work has been published in a variety of newspapers and magazines.

Pam also serves as the Client Assignments Coordinator, matching clients with the best writer for their individual projects, and as Program Manager for the Sailors’ Federal Resume Writing Services, in which The Resume Place provides contract resume writing services for separating Navy military personnel in Europe and Southwest Asia.

Pam’s greatest asset is her ability to grasp the big picture without compromising attention to detail. She views resume writing as solving a puzzle: gathering “pieces” from the client and from additional research, then assembling them meticulously into a persuasive document that presents a clear picture and delivers results. At The Resume Place, she specializes in translating military and technical jargon into terminology suitable for federal applications.

Pam received a B.A. in English, with a concentration in Business and Technical Writing, from the University of Delaware. In addition to her work with The Resume Place, Pam provides consulting and training as a Community Coach for MOPS International.

“Hello Pamela, Just wanted to let you know that I got the government secretary job! They pulled all veterans first, then they came back and pulled me and others…..today was my first day! Thanks for all of your help!” –P.M.

“I wanted to thank The Resume Place and more specifically, Pamela, for helping me secure a position with the federal government. I am frugal by nature so I had concerns about paying for a resume writing service. In the end, I decided to go forward with The Resume Place because securing a position would mean a large return on my investment AND peace of mind. I applied for numerous federal positions prior to working with Resume Place but did not make one cert list. I applied for three federal positions using my resume written by The Resume Place and made all three cert lists! Thank you Pamela and The Resume Place and keep up the good work. “ — A.G.

“Everything looks and sounds amazing! I know I couldn’t have done this without your help! Sounds very professional and makes me really seem like I have at least one year’s worth of contract experience! Thank you so much for all your hard work!” –C.M.
