Mary Carroll-Mason joined The Resume Place in September 2007 as the company’s only writer currently working full-time at the Resume Place headquarters near Baltimore. A Certified Federal Resume Writer, Mary uses her top-level skills in research, writing, and analysis to help her clients put their best foot forward in the federal job search process.

Prior to joining The Resume Place, Mary spent five years as a public relations professional within the field of higher education where she often wrote about complex academic policy and research for general audiences. Mary applies these same skills to write engagingly about job experiences and accomplishments for applicants with highly technical or specialized skill sets. She is also an expert analyst and editor with an eye for identifying her clients’ most relevant skills and accomplishments. She has successfully written for a number of fields including administration, information technology, contract management, human resources, investigation and law enforcement, and program management and analysis.

Mary received her B.A. in History from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Mary authored a case study for Ten Steps to a Federal Job, Second Edition and frequently assists Kathryn Troutman with other professional editing and proofreading.
