I have been reading your suggestions and advice with great interest as I have recently applied to several jobs in New York City, all of which I was more than qualified to fill, with no response whatsoever. However, before I continue to nd re-do my resume and learn all there is to learn to improve my chances of becoming a federal employee, I have one important question: if the candidate is over the age of 45, how good (or bad) is his/her chance at actually being offered a position? I don't want to delude myself and spin my own wheels if there is a tendency to turn away from older employees. Thank you for your assistance.
