Well, these are interesting thoughts. I think they are true. However, everything is
relative and ambiguous to my mind.

This week saw the opening of two jobs in my geographic area that I considered perfect. One of the jobs was posted on Thursday, the other Friday morning. Even though both had a closing date two weeks out, by Friday afternoon, both were "closed"! Extremely disappointing and frustrating!

Is this situation just another one of the "rules" that I need to learn to play the game? Did people who managed to get their application complete in 1/2 a day get in? Maybe it was closed because there were too many responses? Maybe I need to be faster, but I wasn't aware that the closing date was flexible.
