Use a professional editor to improve your Resume Builder
content.
After you have completed filling in the Federal and Resumix®
Builder forms, the content will be sent by email to a professional editor. We
will do the following to your content:
Edit your writing:
- Create sentences or phrases (shorten, make consistent,
rearrange order of sentences)
- Determine how many times to use the pronoun "I"
- Ensure the content of your job descriptions flows and is
clear (logical and topical)
- Improve the use of verbs and nouns to accentuate action
(this one is important)
- Proofread and spellcheck
Formatting your Federal Resume:
- We will create your document in Word or WordPerfect (your
choice)
- We will format your Federal or Resumix® Resume in compliance
with OPMs OF-510, Applying for a Federal Job including all compliance details
- We will format your job descriptions with readable paragraphs
and indentations
- The presentation will be visually appealing
- The final document will be available to you to save on
your hard drive or floppy so you can update, edit or use again for other applications
Tips for Improvement:
- We will edit and improve what you have given us
- We will make recommendations for additional writing or
information
We will not:
- Create new content
- Rewrite your content (we will edit your words, which can
become rewriting your content in some cases.)
Timing:
- 2-4 days; please let us know the deadline.
Select your format:
- Federal Resume
- Resume® Resume (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, other)
Announcement Review:
- Send us your announcement (either current or just a typical
announcement) by email and well review it against your draft resume.
- We will review the announcement instructions for "how
to apply" to make sure you have the correct resume format for the particular
HR agency (this one is important).
